LULAC Council #3147 was named after our founder, former Mayor, and longtime Oxnard community activist, Dr. Manuel Lopez. This council strives to carry on his legacy of putting our community above one-self, advocating for the needs of those who don't have a voice, and working toward reaching Oxnard's great potential. Oxnard is a city where Latinos of all backgrounds call home and one in which they work hard everyday to achieve the American Dream. The Manuel Lopez Council is here to give these families and hand-up through economic justice, civic/voter education, and equal access to local resources.
